James Discovers A Valentine's Day trifecta!
My husband is amazing!
This year for Valentine's day, we agreed to go out for a nice dinner instead of getting each other gifts. Of course - after work James showed up gifts for all! The perfect Valentine's Day trifect:
1. A beautiful vase of Valentine's Day Flowers for me.
2. A "Will you be my valentine?" bib for AudreyBear
3. His FAMOUS Chocolate-Strawberry tarts...yum...
James discovered this Kraft recipe years ago. It has become a tradition that he makes them every year. Here's a photo step-by-step:
The only modification: use real whipped cream instead of Cool Whip...sorry Kraft!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day...I'd love to hear about it!

Audrey Discovers Bananas
From the day that I started Audrey on solid foods, I have been excited to give her BANANAS! For one thing, banana is my favourite flavour. Banana milkshakes are the best! Growing up I HATED liquid medicine...anytime I had to take it, I would throw it up right after swallowing it. The one exception: Banana medicine. I used to fake ear aches to get some! I have discovered that Audrey also likes banana medicine, she spits the cherry Tempra right back out, but happily swallows the banana one! I guess the 'banana' doesn't fall far from the tree....

Audrey Discovers the Swimming Pool
Is there anything cuter than a baby in a bathing suit? No!
Since James and I basically grew up swimming, we were so excited to get Audrey in the water.
Even though her little fists started to go blue after about 5 minutes, she loved it! She would 'swim' for 5 minutes and then warm up in a towel with Mommy for about 10 minutes... and then back in the pool again!
We will definitely be going again! :)

Jamie Discovers Vinegar
Having a baby in the house has made me realize how many chemicals I use. Hairspray, toilet cleaner, floor cleaner, Windex, candles, Febreeze... the list seems almost endless.
I have often heard of using vinegar to clean things, but I've never actually done it. I really love the smell of a 'clean' house, but also really love my baby girl's lungs and brain cells!
So, with that in mind, I have decided not to buy any more cleaners. I will use up what I have in my cupboard, but once its gone - its gone. Bring on the vinegar (and baking soda)!
I found this website to help me get started... http://www.vinegartips.com/scripts/pageViewSec.asp?id=7.
I will keep you posted on how it goes!
And as for the candles - those aren't going anywhere! Anyone who knows me knows my NEED for candles. Maybe instead of lighting FIVE at once, Ill just pick or two at a time. Maybe.

Audrey Discovers a Fourth Generation
This past weekend James, Audrey and I traveled to Bobcaygeon to introduce Audrey her to Great-Grandparents on my side. Little Audrey is lucky enough to have THREE Great-Grandmas and a Great-Grandpa!
We had a great time visiting with James' Gomma on the Friday and Saturday night and my family on Saturday morning.
February is a 'big' month for my family because there is a lot to celebrate. We combined all the events into one big celebration for:
My Gramma's birthday...
My cousin's birthday...
My Aunt's birthday...
My Pa's birthday...
...AND...
My Grandparent's anniversary!
